USCIS will implement a new USCIS Immigrant Fee of $165.00 beginning February 1, 2013 This fee will apply to foreign nationals who seek permanent residence in the United States. This fee is intended to allow USCIS to recover the cost of processing immigrant visas in the United States after the immigrant visa holder receives their package from the Department of State (DOS). Applicants will be required to pay online through the USCIS website after they receive their visa package from DOS and before they depart for the United States. This new fee is in addition to all fees associated with the immigrant visa application charged by DOS. For more information on this fee, click here.
